Looking at the Form of something involves looking at what something is like. We are finding out there are MANY, MANY parts to our Form!
We are making a lot of connections to our friends through our bags. It is very thrilling to find another friend who might like our favorites too. Connection is another Key Concept we are investigating.
Wonderful Wonders!
Mrs. Humphrey and Mrs. Taylor introduced a new class pet this week. Caterpillars! Oh our Thinkers were filled with wonders about what the caterpillars were doing, what would happen next, how the butterfly would be formed, how long it would take...(truly endless).
We love to record our questions in our Wonder Journals. Wonder Journals are used anytime we have a wonder about something. Kindergarteners are filled with exciting wonders!

| Fishbowl Modeling of Reading Expectations |
We have been investigating what makes a good reader. Here are some pictures of the work uncovered by our Explorers:
Math
Our Math investigations have involved a lot of problem solving, counting, making sets and writing our numbers. We have even learned how to count 1-10 in Mandarin! Our Knowledgeable Explorers realized that this is Form too!

Letter Sounds and Formation
We continue to work hard on knowing our letter names, sounds and correct formation. So far, we have worked on lowercase letters b, f, m, n and t. We are exploring words with the beginning sounds of the letters we have introduced. How many can you come up with this weekend? Have your child share in their Morning Meeting.
Reading with Second Grade Buddies
Ms. Mori's class met up with their 2nd Grade Buddies to read together. It was so much fun!
Mandarin
This week's lessons were on greetings, counting, naming parts of our face as well as simple commands (look, listen).
BUSY, FUN DAYS!
